Dramatically situated on a cliff's edge, Sense, A Rosewood Spa® overlooks the glistening Sir Francis Drake Channel and the resort below. The intoxicating beauty of the surroundings captures the essence of relaxation and renewal, heightened by Caribbean specialties that fuse indigenous botanical resources proliferating on the grounds of the resort with traditional, spiritual and physical healing arts.

Facilities: The spa offers an array of relaxed and welcoming facilities for treatments and activities, including a hilltop yoga platform for group classes, outdoor relaxation spaces, treatment cottages with windows opening onto the rhythm of ocean waves, and pools - including a two-tier infinity pool - set among three lushly landscaped acres. The exclusive Cliff Spa Suite is particularly suited for couple's treatments, featuring luxurious private facilities for both indoor and open-air treatments, a dining area, private patio, hot tub and outdoor shower. The spa also offers separate changing rooms for women and men.

Spa Amenities: Upon arrival, each client is supplied with a bathrobe and sandals as well as a locker for clothing and personal belongings. A local bush tea of lemon grass and chamomile is provided to sip while completing a lifestyle questionnaire to be used for customized treatment recommendations. There are ample soft cotton towels throughout the spa area, and amenities such as deodorants, hair-styling products, razors and personal hygiene products are also available. Disposable underwear is provided for all body treatments.

Following each treatment, guests are escorted to their cottage's private outdoor terrace for "terrace time" - a brief respite for relaxing, meditating and absorbing entrancing 25-mile water views.

Treatments: Sense offers a well-edited collection of treatments, many of which fuse indigenous island botanicals with the traditional spiritual and physical healing arts of the Caribbean culture. Popular offerings include: Cool Aquastones & Aloe Therapy; Little Dix Bay Signature Body Scrub; Salt Island Scrub; Natural Neem Facial; Virgin Gorda Goat Milk & Honey Wrap.

Yoga: Sense is pleased to offer a range of yoga and movement classes. Group classes are held atop the spa's hillside yoga platform each morning at 8:00am and on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5:00 p.m., for $20 per person per class. Private, group and kids' classes are available upon request.

Fitness Center: The resort's fitness center is handsomely outfitted with cardiovascular machines including treadmills, Stairmaster and Lifecycles with cardio-theatre personal viewing flat-screen TVs showing cable programming and movies. The fitness center also offers free weights. Chilled drinking water, towels and fresh fruit are provided to assure enjoyable workouts. Guests can take advantage of the fitness center's Bums & Tums class to tone up problem areas, and private sessions can be arranged with a personal trainer.

Children: Young adults over the age of 16 are welcome to visit the spa and fitness center. To help parents enjoy their spa time while giving the kids a experience of their own, Sense offers Kids Move 'N' Groove and Kids Yoga, two new high-energy classes to introduce children (aged five and up) to the health benefits of movement and meditation. The classes are complimentary to parents booking spa treatments.

In-Suite Treatments: The spa offers in-suite massages. A surcharge of 20% will apply for any in-room treatment.

Non-resort guests: Appointments for non-resort guests are accepted at the spa for treatments.

Arrivals/Cancellations: Clients are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their appointment to enjoy the exclusive facilities and to have consultation time with your therapist. Late arrivals will be finished within the scheduled treatment time while the fee will remain unchanged. Please allow at least 12 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of treatment to avoid a charge of 50%. No shows are charged at full treatment rate.

Spa Hours: Spa services are offered daily 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. by appointment.
