Eight new junior suites and three new hilltop villas to round out complete makeover at luxury beachfront retreat on Virgin Gorda

VIRGIN GORDA, BVI - Already an inviting setting for travelers to savor the many wonders of the Caribbean, Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda is about to become even more so with the addition of eight new Rosewood Junior Suites and three new hilltop villas, the latest developments in a five-year makeover for the luxury beachfront retreat to be complete December 2006.

Each new Rosewood Junior Suite will be graced with a patio and porch to take advantage of Little Dix Bay's gentle trade winds and drop dead gorgeous sea views and sunsets, as well as extraordinary outdoor bathrooms that blend seamlessly - and privately - within the surrounding landscape. Like all of the resort's guestrooms, the new junior suites will be completely hidden from the water to ensure total privacy. Interior space will be graced with indigenous woods, local stones, demure colors, and handcrafted furniture and fabrics from the Pacific Rim.

The trio of stunning new hilltop villas will each feature three or four large bedrooms, oversized living areas, spacious bathrooms with outdoor showers, a private pool, and dining pavilion/barbeque area.

The new renovations are the latest in a series of luxury developments that have unfolded at Little Dix Bay over the past five years. In 2000, the resort added The Children's Grove, a 3,000-square-foot setting in the shade of Mahogany trees where children of all ages can enjoy creative activities with an environmental bent under the watchful eyes of caring and fun-loving staff. In 2001, the resort added The Spa at Little Dix Bay for guests to enjoy the world's finest beauty and recuperative treatments in an unparalleled cliff side setting, as well as two beachfront villas.

In 2004, the resort added eight Rosewood junior suites, as well as a new beachfront swimming pool. And last year, Little Dix Bay renovated two-thirds of its 100 guestrooms with completely new bathrooms, built a new hilltop villa, and redesigned the Sugar Mill and Pavilion restaurants.

Along with the eight new Rosewood Junior Suites and three new hilltop villas, this year will also see the renovation of the remaining third of Little Dix Bay's guestrooms. Half of Little Dix Bay's total guest units will have outdoor showers upon completion. Ever mindful of its guests' peace of mind, the resort will not begin construction on the new junior suites until after high-season winds die down toward the end of April. All work is expected to be completed by December 15, 2006, just in time for high-season to wind up again.

Rates at Little Dix Bay start at $375 through November 17, 2006.  For more information or to make reservations at Little Dix Bay, contact 888.ROSEWOOD or visit www.littledixbay.com
